Heading over to Palmaria Island for a walk, hike or to lay on its beaches is another wonderful experience.
If you’re feeling very adventurous, you can hike to the Cinque Terre towns, or just hop on one of the many ferries departing frequently from the Portovenere port area.
You will enjoy the freshest of fish and seafood in the many seafront restaurants. Try the local Pesto al Genovese and you wont be disappointed.

Ferries from Portovenere port depart regularly to the Cinque Terre Towns, or if you are adventurous you can hike the trails starting above Portovenere.
Isola Palmaria
A quick 5 min boat ride away is Palmaria Island with incredible views of Portovenere and great hiking. Palmaria has unique vegetation, high cliffs and many caves.
